What is portal.minv.sk?

portal.minv.sk is the portal of the Slovak Ministry of the Interior on which the electronic reporting of the stay of foreigners takes place. Although the life situation is also catalogued on slovensko.sk, the form itself is filled in and submitted on the Ministry of the Interior portal — this is the most common source of confusion for new accommodation providers.

What you need for access

Access to reporting requires an eID with an activated qualified electronic signature (KEP) and prior registration as an accommodation provider in the Ministry of the Interior system. Without registration you cannot reach the form even with a working eID. After registration, two ways of filing are available: manual entry one guest at a time, and bulk XML import.

Why it matters

Unlike the Czech UbyPort, Slovak reporting has no publicly documented API — filing is tied to the identity of the accommodation provider and takes place manually through the portal. Software can therefore prepare the documents, but the actual submission remains a step for the accommodation provider. The deadline is 5 days from the foreigner’s accommodation, and the fine for non-compliance is up to €3,300.
